Site Merchandising Manager

Department: Marketing

Reporting To: Director, Marketing and Digital Business

 

Summary of Role:

 

The Site Merchandising Manager will manage and execute online merchandising strategies to maximize performance and profitability.  The Site Merchandiser will be responsible for performing product and category additions and maintenance, ensuring product information (specifications, attributes, copy, and images) is accurately presented, and optimizing product presentation across our brand(s) websites.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

•     Add and maintain product selection to maximize the online shopping experience utilizing site content management and maintenance platform.

•     Conduct regular competitive analysis of pricing and product selections.

•     Assist with promotional strategies to increase sales and key online merchandising KPIs.

•     Build merchandising stories for major product initiatives and market trends that align with online and offline sales goals.

•     Create and maintain product collections, categories, and product layouts that are easy to navigate and highlight top-performing product selections.

•     Drive online sales through optimization and enhancement of site search, product categorization, site navigation and taxonomy, and up/cross sell opportunities.

•     Identify and introduce new products and vendors, negotiating pricing and terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

•     Develop and routinely report on key metrics for website trends, product sales, and operational areas impacting merchandising.

•     Analyze reports to provide insights and strategic recommendations for optimizing merchandising initiatives.

•     Work with digital marketing team to improve site engagement rates, user experience, conversion rates, and transaction value.

•     Assist with developing site promotional calendar to ensure top merchandising opportunities are showcased and promotions are used to increase profitability.

•     Understand and stay on top of current online trends impacting products and technology.

•     Take on any other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

 

 

Job Requirements:

•     Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field

•     2+ years of prior experience merchandising for online retail or

E-commerce brand

•     Analytically-minded and comfortable making data-driven decisions

•     Knowledge of golf or related sports market is highly desirable

•     Results driven and self-motivated with focus on proactively developing creative solutions

•     Ability to work independently, within a team, and across internal departments to drive results.

•     Working knowledge of online marketing best practices, HTML/CSS and Photoshop

Summary of Role:

The Social Media Manager will implement the Company’s Social Media marketing strategy. Administration includes content strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, reputation management, and participating in conversations to further build brand awareness across a variety of key audiences. TheSocial Media Manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing the Company’s content strategy, creating relevant content, blogging, community participation and leadership. The Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Digital Business to develop and execute strategies to utilize social media channels effectively and keep a pulse on changing trends within these environments to move existing social media strategy to the next level.

•     Reviewing and updating all social platforms daily

•     Maintain active and engaging social presence

•     Evaluate social media technologies to assess if new approaches would be applicable

Purpose: This procedure defines and details the function, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties and expectations of performance of the Director of Business Development of Cleveland Golf/Srixon.

Basic Function:

The basic function of the Director of Business Development is to manage the department that empowers managers and executives of CG/Srixon with better information to inform decision making. This role is specialized and technical in nature and requires data acquisition training, market research capabilities, and communication skills to help answer high-level business questions. Due to the complexity of the work, this position requires regular use of independent judgment and discretion to adequately analyze the business and present findings.  The position requires excellent communication skills as regular interface with the company's executive management team is expected as are department managerial responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship:

The Director of Business Development reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The Director of Business Development currently has two direct reports in the department. This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Responsibilities:

  • Business and Marketing Analysis
  • Creating, maintaining, and automating various business reports which empower managers/executives with better information to inform decision making. Project management as directed by the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing - usually in the areas of:
    • New data acquisition or reporting
    • Design and implement the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan.
    • Mid/longer term planning and business modeling
    • Initiatives that require collaboration with the IT department
    • Modifying data acquisition methods
    • Statistical analysis/modeling
    • Projects that require geographic modeling or analysis/GIS (e.g. sales territory optimization, DMA-specific advertising)
    • Evaluating new business intelligence tools or systems for future use (often with outside companies)
