Why would someone want a custom shaft? What is the difference between custom shafts?
A:
Different shafts feature different kick points and degrees of torque to fit an individual's swing type. Custom shafts are typically most beneficial for better players, or those golfers with a higher than average swing speed.
Q:
What are the face angles and lofts on our woods? Drivers and fairway woods?
A:
The face angle is square and lofts are as stated on the sole of the club. Industry standard tolerances for both loft and face angle is +/- 1°.

A:
Based on driver swing speed:

SHAFT FLEX
< 80 mph
A Flex
80 - 90 mph
R Flex

S Flex

Q:
If a wood is customized by length what happens to the performance of the club?
A:
Typically, a shaft that is longer than standard will add distance and swingweight, but decrease accuracy. Conversely, shortening the shaft will add accuracy, but shorten distance and decrease swingweight.
Q:
Does Cleveland Golf spine or frequency its shafts?
A:
We do not spine our shafts. Cleveland Golf follows the installation instructions of all major shaft manufacturers and none of them currently use a standardized spining process.
Q:
Does Cleveland Golf refinish or refurbish golf clubs?
A:
No, as a manufacturer of new golf equipment, Cleveland Golf is not equipped to refinish or refurbish golf clubs.
Q:
What is the min/max length for our custom woods?
A:
For performance purposes, Cleveland Golf recommends holding all custom orders to +/- 1" as published. Otherwise, the swingweights get too far out of spec and the golf club will perform poorly. If a customer demands it, we will go to +2", however Cleveland Golf only certifies performance within +/-1"
Q:
Will Cleveland Golf bend wood heads upright or flat?
