The Designer / Merchandiser will be responsible for strategies to promote the Brand through the creation of visual displays and soft goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for industry and product research
Creating and communication of design presentations
Good sense of style and a flair for design
Supporting execution and communication of development, sampling and overall strategy for in store merchandising and soft goods in line with Brand vision
Knowledgeable with materials, embellishments, technical features, fit and branding
Assisting design and sourcing in the development of all soft good products
Conceptual product sketching and drawing of technical designs
Overseeing embroidery and color process to ensure customer deadline
Communicating with sales force on design, merchandising and delivery aspects
Following up on production process and communicating with vendors
Strong interest and awareness of markets, trends, fabrics, techniques,
product cycles and golf consumers
Understand the Brand’s target markets and appeal to them
Be aware of current trends in the market, design, fashion and culture
Have good communication skills and work to tight deadlines
Be creative, imaginative and energetic
Understand market trends and overall strategy that supports the Brand
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Graphic or Fashion Design or other disciplines associated with the arts. A combination of education and experience a plus
Understanding of apparel construction, communicating visually, knowledge of product cycles, flat sketching expertise, hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop and Excel, JD Edwards a plus, retail experience a plus
