POSITION OVERVIEW

As an entry level CAD Specialist, the individual will work with Woods/Irons/Wedges team assisting in the design and development of the latest and most technologically advanced golf clubs.  Candidate will work with engineers to understand the scope, intent, goals, schedule, and requirements of each project.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: development of 3D CAD models using sketches and feedback from engineering, modification and iteration of 3D CAD models, creating/importing/exporting various file types, operation of laser digitizer, and operation of rapid prototype equipment.  An excellent candidate may be asked to contribute with the operation of finite element analysis software.

• Education
  • Must have associates degree in Computer Aided Design
  • Must be PC Literate
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Windows operating system and Windows Explorer

• Skills
  • Must have very strong interest in the use of CAD software
  • Must be proficient in the use of NX/Unigraphics,
  • 3+ years experience in Design using 3D modeling software
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in 3-D CAD modeling, including advanced surfacing
  • Applicant should have a strong interest in golf
  • Must be knowledgeable in the design of robust models and specifically the parameterization of models
  • Must have a working knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel
  • Must have the ability to effectively work in a fast paced environment while organizing personal schedule, and managing multiple projects.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems, maintain accuracy, quality, and completeness, while carrying out responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to incorporate new software into skill set as demanded
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate well with engineers
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to set and achieve goals
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Rhino 3D, Alias, and Geomagic are a significant plus
  • A strong eye for shape and contour detail would be a plus
