September 22, 2008

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA -- Boo Weekley on his outstanding performance during the 2008 Ryder Cup. Team USA beat out their European rivals by a final score of 16½ to 11½, earning their first victory since 1999, while giving them their largest margin of victory dating back to 1981. Weekley, a Ryder Cup rookie, played some of the best golf of his career on Sunday completing four birdies and a hole-out eagle on his first eight holes of play. His front nine score of 29 gave him a commanding 3-up lead over his opponent and he finished the round at 8-under par by sinking a 20 foot birdie putt to win his final match. Weekley finished with a 2-0-1 record while earning a total of 2-1/2 points overall during the 37th Ryder Cup.

"The Ryder cup is pretty awesome. This is unreal," said Weekley. "I think we actually became a family and that's something we've been missing in the past, a little bit of laughter and cutting up."

Weekley uses a HiBORE XL (9.5), HiBORE XLS #3 (15°) and #5 (19°) fairway woods, a HiBORE XLS Hybrid (22°), CG Red irons (#4, #5), CG1 irons (6-PW), a CG10 wedge (52°), a CG14 wedge (58°) and a Never Compromise GM2 Exchange putter (#7).
