KOBE, JAPAN – SRI Sports Limited, a world leader in golf club and golf ball technology, congratulates Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® staffer Michael Putnam for his Nationwide Tour victory at the 2010 Utah Championship and fellow staffer Tommy Medina for his win at the Gateway Pro Tour’s first of four Q-School Challenge events.

Putnam won the Utah Championship on Sunday, his first Nationwide Tour title, finishing with a 4-under 67 and a three-stroke victory. “I had a lot of wins in college but I just haven’t been able to get it done out here,” said Putnam. “I’ve put myself in contention four or five times this year and I think it really helped me get over the hump.” Putnam plays a Cleveland Launcher® DST™ Tour driver with a Miyazaki™ Kusala Black 61X shaft, a Cleveland HiBORE® fairway wood, Cleveland CG7™ Tour irons, Cleveland CG14™ wedges and a Srixon Z-STAR™ golf ball.

Tommy Medina posted rounds of 66/64/66-196 (17-under) and made a clutch 10-foot birdie putt on the 54th hole to beat out fellow Cleveland Golf/Srixon staffer Charlie Beljan during the First Stage of Q-School held at Longbow Golf Course, in Mesa, Arizona. “I wasn’t really paying attention to the leaderboards all day, but I did see I was one up (on Beljan) after 17,” said Medina. “I was just going to hit rescue and lay it up, but I saw him make a great two-putt for birdie, so I pulled the 3-wood out and went for it.”

Medina plays a Cleveland Launcher DST 3-wood and hybrid, Cleveland CG7 Tour irons, CG15™ wedges and a Srixon Z-STAR X golf ball. Bejan plays a Cleveland Launcher DST Tour driver and fairway wood, Cleveland CG7 Tour irons, Cleveland CG15 wedges, a Cleveland T-Frame putter and a Srixon Z-STAR X Tour Yellow golf ball.
