HOW TO FIT YOUR RTX GRINDS

Wedge grinds can feel complicated but with the guides below, you'll have everything you need to make the perfect choice.

Our LOW grind has a C-shaped sole with relief on the heel, toe, and trailing edge for ultimate greenside versatility. It's the perfect tool for those who leave smaller divots, play in firm conditions presenting tight lies, and like to hit open-face and flop shots.

New for this generation, a LOW+ grind is a featured option on Sand Wedge lofts and offers 2° more bounce than our LOW grind in the same C-shaped sole. It's a design inspired by feedback from our tour staff looking for a mix of versatility and sand performance.

GRIND AND LIE FITTING TAPE

Our new grind and lie fitting tape is a simple yet effective tool for self-assessing both your ideal sole grind and custom lie angle. To use the tape properly, you'll need a lie board or similar hitting surface. To get started, simply follow the steps below.

HOW TO APPLY THE TAPE
Step 1

HOW TO APPLY THE TAPE

With the end marked "Toe" facing the Wedge's toe, apply the adhesive to the sole, ensuring to match the white alignment lines with the edges of the Wedge's face grooves. For Full-Face Wedges, align only the heel-side alignment line.

HOW TO FIT YOUR LIE ANGLE
Step 2

HOW TO FIT YOUR LIE ANGLE

Start the fitting by applying lie tape to a standard 54° Wedge and hitting 2–4 shots off the lie board. Use the diagrams below to assess your lie angle at impact. If your shot marks appear close to the toe, you may benefit from a more upright bend of 1-2°. If they appear near the heel, consider a flat bend of 1-2°.

HOW TO FIT YOUR GRIND
Step 3

HOW TO FIT YOUR GRIND

Using a fresh strip of lie tape applied to a 54° Wedge, along with a lie board, hit your typical 3/4 Wedge shot. Inspect the lie tape after your swing and assess the length of your white shot mark within the tape's yellow grind brackets. The shape and location within the brackets will indicate your recommended grind.

Step 4

CONSIDERING ALL FACTORS WHEN CHOOSING BEST GRIND

Angle of attack and divot size are only part of the equation when choosing the best grind, other factors need to be considered. We recommend using a combination of the grind fitting tape results and grind fitting chart below to best place the golfer into their ideal grind.
